Although the mantra of "hands-face-space" is sure to be commonplace in our club, it is obvious that trust is increasing and there are more face-to -face interactions. Rotary has changed. In the summer months in 2021 there remains a continuing level of uncertainty in how our work with society includes the highly valued interpersonal connections that have been enjoyed by Rotary participants in the past. But it's clear that the mantra of hands-on-face remains an integral part of the Rotary routine. Rotary's face has changed. The Rotary network helps build bonds lasting. The Pandemic was the catalyst for us to embrace the latest technology. We have sharpened up our methods of holding online meetings for our business as well as reintroducing activities for service and social using a friendly face-toface approach. These new possibilities have been paired with our lessons from previous outbreaks to bring a fresh and new perspective for Rotary. In a recent Rotary survey it was heartening to learn that about 75 percent of clubs are making plans for their "business routine initiatives" The months of summer are full of club members on the move, focusing on projects such as river and beach cleans litter cleaning, and the ongoing service to society from Rotary volunteer teams giving their time to support COVID testing and vaccination centers.
