Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
